Loving the Sunshine!!!

Today is the most beautiful fall day! This morning I was still lying in bed as Kyle left for work and he encouraged me to spend the day relaxing. My response was something along the lines of, "I will. I plan to stay in bed all day." I have never spent the entire day in bed...so of course, I got up and spent the morning doing things that I wanted to do, like checking email and catching up with my bestfriend who just got home from Colorado. The sunshine was shining so bright as I sat at the computer, so I got dressed and took a long, long walk...soaking up the sun! It was lovely and Gretta enjoyed her portion of the walk also! Following the walk, I showered (which I should have done before the walk...hehe) and after eating lunch, I painted my fingernails. Days like these remind me of how much I love working 3 days a week!!!

Also, yesterday, I couldn't help myself when a co-worker offered to take a look at our baby with the ultrasound machine....
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Billy Blanks is the father of my child...hehe. The baby was all over the place doing flips and ninja kicks! It was so fun to watch. The heart rate was somewhere around 160 beats per minute. My book says that this week (week 12) the baby is larger than the size of an apricot. It's voicebox is formed too! Most importantly, the external sex organs are developed! (Don't worry, this could not be visualized on the ultrasound yesterday...good thing...Kyle would've killed me for looking!)

We're In Business!

I was determined to get this blog completely set up before making any posts, and I didn't cave under the pressure (Rachel). I worked on it today...and we're in business!

So, we thought this blog would be a good idea to have when the baby arrives to post pictures and such. However, I needed some time to get to know how to use this thing and to acquire some viewers! So, please be patient as we learn. :)

As you can see on the ticker, we are well into our 11th week of pregnancy! I wanted to post the original ultrasound image for you all to see...all 0.5 inch of him/her. This one was taken at 7.5 weeks!:



I have my second doctor's appointment on Friday. No ultrasound though...darn! Our next ultrasound won't be until around Christmas time...as long as all goes well...and let's pray that it does! Anyway, this visit is just my physical and then we get to hear the heartbeat. I think mom is coming with me...exciting! I'll let you know how it goes!
