Catching Up...

Wow! Life is so BUSY!!! So is my little man! His 9-month birthday flew by (...I mean almost 3 months ago!) So, I am going to catch everyone up on his progress and then blog again in a week or so to update you on his 1st BIRTHDAY Party!!! Crazy! Let's see...since Christmas, Emerson has grown into a "little Kyle". He totally looks like Daddy...not that he didn't before. Here he is on Valentine's Day. His Aunt Kate bought him this little t-shirt.


He is much more vocal now...the guy talks nonstop! :) He has such a fun and laid back personality...he is the absolute best! He started crawling shortly after Christmas. He mastered that pretty quickly and we have been on the go ever since! He is taking about 12 steps at a time now. He could totally walk if he wanted, but is just isn't confident enough yet. He apparently has grown, since he can now reach up and grab things off of the dining room table...:). Easter was fun. The easter bunny brought him a walk behind toy...he loves it!


He has also had three haircuts now! Here is pic just before his first haircut. He was very patient...and curious!













Going to the park is just the best thing ever! Emerson loves to watch the other kids play on the equipment...and he loves to play on it too!


This past weekend, he was even practicing walking down the aisle with Audrey at Aunt Kylie's upcoming wedding on July 9th. We can't wait! :)










And then his first birthday was here! Yesterday was Emerson's first birthday! I think he secretly chose to celebrate in his own way because he only napped for 30 minutes yesterday! He was pleasant though. We went out for some Huddles Frozen Yogurt last night. Emerson had cake batter yogurt with sprinkles on top! Here he is eating his yogurt!

His big 1st Birthday Party is Saturday! We are excited! I will be sure to post some pics soon after the party...I promise! We love you all! :)

Christmas and 2011...

We were looking forward to Emerson's first Christmas so much! He was the cutest thing! He LOVED the paper and bows, but didn't quite grasp that concept that there was something bigger and better waiting on the inside. :) Once the toys were opened and out of the packaging, he did enjoy playing with them! He was so fun...next year will be even better! Here is our little Santa Baby...














With the new year, brings Emerson's 8 month birthday on January 24th. We just can't believe he has been a part of our lives for 8 months! What a blessing! He is rolling around everywhere to get where he needs to go. He has started rocking on his hands and knees, but is refusing to crawl at the moment. No worries though, daddy is coaching him daily...and he should be crawling in no time. lol His first and favorite word is "dadadadadadada". Kyle loves it. I love it too. There is no greater sound in the world that the precious sounds and babbles your baby makes, even if it isn't my name! Here is a recent picture after bathtime!
